Have been a journalist for more than 40 years, most of which spent during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s fighting for justice in South Africa. Started work for SABC in 1994 and retired in October 2009. Now working as Foreign Correspondent for Radio Deutsche Welle. A BA graduate with Political Science and International Relations as majors from University of SA(UNISA). Was detained, harrassed, banned, house-arrested, denied a passport during the struggles against apartheid and white minority rule in the 1970s and 1980s.
